Over $19,000 collectively raised for Itasca area non-profit.
100+ Women Who Care Itasca Area is proud to announce that Project Care Free Clinic has been selected as the recipient of a $19,370 donation following the organization’s 2026 giving event.
The donation represents the largest gift awarded through the 100+ Women Who Care Itasca Area event and reflects the generosity and collective impact of women throughout the Itasca Area who are committed to strengthening their community.
Project Care Free Clinic provides free medical, dental and mental health services to individuals and families who may otherwise face barriers to accessing care. The organization relies on community support and volunteers to help provide compassionate, accessible healthcare to those in need.
The donation was made possible through the collective giving of local women who came together to learn about organizations serving the Itasca Area and collectively determine where their dollars could make the greatest impact.
Rather than asking individuals to make numerous smaller donations throughout the year, 100+ Women Who Care brings women together to make one meaningful contribution as a group. The result is an opportunity to turn individual generosity into a significant investment in local organizations.
“We are incredibly grateful to everyone who came together to make this donation possible,” said Danielle Schermerhorn, Steering Committee Member of 100+ Women Who Care Itasca Area. “Our goal is to make giving simple, meaningful and impactful, and this donation is a wonderful example of what can happen when our community comes together.”
Since its inaugural event in 2025, 100+ Women Who Care Itasca Area has raised significant funds for local nonprofits and community organizations. The organization is committed to continuing to connect local women with causes making a difference throughout the Itasca Area.
